Jill Nyren is an Alliance Partner and our Organizational Capabilities Advisor. Dedicated to facilitating business transformation she has delivered tremendous results enabling large and complex business transformations, including process re-engineering, privatizations, mergers and acquisitions over the past 13 years.
As Assistant VP of Retail Organizational Capabilities Consulting at Sun Life Financial, Jill played an important and influential role on the senior leadership team. During the merger of Sun Life and Clarica, Jill and her team successfully re-invigorated the culture and commitment of Canada's largest business unit. Leading the restructuring and cultural renewal, this project directly touched over 3500 employees within a 3 month time frame. Jill delivered the organizational change consulting and leadership coaching that enabled the newly merged business unit to meet and exceed the business objectives while integrating two complex organizations.
Leading Edge Strategy and Practice
Prior to that, Jill held the role of Practice Leader, Organizational Capabilities Consulting at Clarica. Working closely with Hubert Saint-Onge on the Strategic Capabilities leadership team, she focused on leadership development, aligning culture, and ensuring change-readiness in support of Clarica's business strategy. During her time at Clarica, Jill was recognized for her transformational facilitation that actively engaged people at all levels in creating the strategic vision for the firm. Featured in The Conference Board of Canada report "Leadership for Tomorrow", her successes in leadership development, organizational capabilities, and e-learning were acclaimed as best practices.
Delivering New Possibilities for Results
Before joining Clarica, Jill built a solid reputation in non-traditional union management relations and alternate dispute resolution at Petro Canada. Noted in the industry for her expertise, she skillfully facilitated the development of key environmental strategies with the Canadian Association of Petroleum Producers (CAPP) and the Canadian Petroleum Products Institute (CPPI).
Always focused on creating new possibilities for achieving results, Jill brings to SaintOnge Alliance her steadfast commitment to individual and organizational transformation.
Jill is the principal consultant of The Nyren Collaboration, an organizational performance consulting firm focusing on business transformation. Jill holds an Honours BA in Economics and Psychology and a Masters of Industrial Relations, both from Queen's University.
